Community Engagement
Modesto Courthouse Redevelopment Community Workshop: January 21, 2025
The City of Modesto will hold a community engagement workshop to discuss the redevelopment of the Downtown Courthouse block and its alignment to the current Downtown Master Plan. The current Courthouse site in downtown Modesto is central to the city's downtown, with a vision to enhance green spaces along I Street and preserve the building's historical elements. A thorough evaluation of the space will guide its potential re-development and alignment of the Downtown Master Plan, while improvements aim to foster a vibrant and welcoming downtown area for residents and visitor.
We need your feedback!
The workshop will provide an overview of the site, share information on the Downtown Master Plan, and invite attendees to provide feedback and recommendations regarding the future of the site and the alignment of the Downtown Master Plan.
Spanish interpretation will be provided at all workshops.

City Council Workshop: December 17, 2019
The City Council conducted a study session with Opticos, the Downtown Master Plan (DMP) consultant, in order to learn about progress to date and next steps toward a draft DMP document. The discussion and feedback from council members and citizens was positive, and Opticos will proceed with preparing the formal DMP in the first quarter of 2020.
