Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Depending on availability of grant funds, we host a City sponsored Household Waste Collection Event to promote proper disposal of Household Hazardous Waste.  This program is funded by a grant from CalRecycle for Stanislaus County residents.  All containers must be properly sealed.

  • Aerosol products
  • Batteries (all)
  • Light bulbs 
  • Brake fluid
  • Carburetor cleaner
  • Charcoal lighter fluid
  • Drain cleaners
  • Fertilizers
  • Gasoline/Diesel fuel
  • Herbicides
  • Kerosene
  • Mercury thermostats
  • Mercury thermometers
  • Paint/Paint thinner
  • Pesticides
  • Pool/Spa chemicals
  • Propane cylinders
  • Road flares
  • Roofing tar
  • Syringes
  • Used motor oil/Filters
  • Compressed gas cylinders, helium tanks

Items Not Accepted

  • No containers larger than 5 gallons. 
  • No empty containers. 
  • No electronic waste.
  • No explosives. 
  • No ammunition. 
  • No tires. 
  • No business waste. 
  • No medications
  • Syringes must be in a rigid container
