Frank DeMattos - Biography
Frank DeMattos joined the City of Modesto as City Auditor in September 2008. With extensive experience in both
governmental and banking organizations, Frank has proven expertise in making recommendations to city management
regarding performance of management objectives, compliance with applicable laws, regulations and contractual
regulations, and evaluation of internal controls and implementation of process improvements. Prior to joining the
City of Modesto, Frank served as a Senior Deputy City Auditor with the City of Stockton.
Frank holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance as well as a Masters in Business Administration
from California State University, Stanislaus. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal
Auditor.
Frank is a long-time Modesto resident and is a graduate of Fred C. Beyer High School in Modesto. He and his
wife have two teenage sons.
