Greg Nyhoff - Biography

Greg Nyhoff was appointed as City Manager by the City Council and began serving in that capacity in June 2008. Greg has over 21 years of management and leadership experience in municipal administration including 14 years executive experience as City Manager. Through his 21 years of experience, Greg has developed comprehensive knowledge in strategic planning, community visioning, economic development, finance, police, fire, ambulance, electric, water and wastewater utility management, parks, recreation and cultural services, human resources, public works, engineering, transit and airport.

Greg has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Economics from Calvin College and has completed the “Developing the Strategic Leader” program through the Center for Creative Leadership. Greg and his wife Cindy reside in Modesto.
