Tony Madrigal was born in Turlock, CA and worked with his family on the farm up until he graduated from Hughson High School.
He attended Modesto Junior College and served as the school’s first Latino student body president. Madrigal graduated from
the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Economics. There, he served two terms on the Santa Cruz City Council
He has devoted himself to extensive community service work in Modesto including serving on the Board of Directors of the King
Kennedy Memorial Center and on the Latino Community Roundtable (LCR) of Stanislaus County. He is an active member of the South
Modesto Business United group, a volunteer with the Manos Unidas/United Hands community organization, and a supporter of
Stanislaus Asian American Community Resource nonprofit agency.
Councilman Madrigal was elected on November 5, 2013 to the Modesto City Council in District 2 where his primary focus has been
jobs, safety, & community. Tony enjoys living in Modesto where he can be close to his family and devote time to community
service projects in this area. He currently works as a Legislative Aide, in the Office of Assembly member Luis Alejo, District 30.
