Doug Estes spoke regarding the Strategic Plan Element and was not able to locate it on the City’s website.  Deputy City Manager Judith Ray will provide Mr. Estes with a copy.

Consider acceptance of the quarterly update on the Water Meter/Automated Reading Program. (Funding Source: Water Fund)

 ACTION:  Motion (Olsen/Marsh;unan) accepting the quarterly update on the Water Meter/Automated Reading Program.

NEW BUSINESS

2.

Consider recommending to the City Council to authorize the Modesto Fire Department to bill auto insurance companies for services in motor vehicle accidents, vehicle extrication and vehicle fire response to be administered by a third party billing company. (Funding Source: Potential Revenue)

ACTION:       The Committee requested additional information including a broader range of Cities, impact on ratepayers, coverage.

Consider policy discussion and direction regarding implementation of a community-wide survey to assess budget priorities related to a public safety sales tax measure and potential outcomes of that survey. (Funding Source: General Fund and Other)

ACTION:       Motion (Marsh/Olsen;unan) approving staff recommendation to conduct a community-wide survey to assess budget priorities related to a public safety sales tax measure and forwarding to Council.

 

4.

Consider recommending to the City Council to authorize the Purchasing Manager to issue formal request for bids (RFB) for the purchase of a pavement crack sealer for the Public Works Department, Street Maintenance Division. (Funding Source: Proposition 1B Funds)

 ACTION:       Motion (Marsh/Olsen;unan) approving staff recommendation and forwarding to Council.
