APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Consider approving the minutes from the Citizens’ Salary Setting Commission meeting on April 10, 2008.
ACTION: By Motion (Newman/Thomas;unan) approving the minutes from the Citizens’ Salary Setting Commission meeting on April 10, 2008.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
2. Finalize the Commission’s recommendation for compensation for the City of Modesto Mayor and Councilmembers to be submitted at the April 22, 2008 Council meeting.
ACTION: By Motion (Thomas/Newman;unan) recommending the salary of $24,000 per year/$2,000 per month for City of Modesto Councilmembers no earlier than July 1, 2008.

ACTION: By Motion (Rose/Thomas; Rose yes, Dahlseid no, Meyer no, Newman no, Thomas no) recommending the salary of $42,000 per year/$3,500 per month for the City of Modesto Mayor no earlier than July 1, 2008. (Motion did not carry.)

ACTION: By Motion (Thomas/Newman; Rose no, Dahlseid no, Meyer no, Newman yes, Thomas yes) recommending the salary of $38,000 per year/$3,166.66 per month for the City of Modesto Mayor no earlier than July 1, 2008. (Motion did not carry.)

ACTION: By Motion (Rose/Newman; unan Dahlseid no, Thomas no) recommending the salary of $43,200 per year/$3,600 per month for the City of Modesto Mayor no earlier than July 1, 2008.
