Making a difference in the lives of people is what Violet Tylock is all about. Her sponsor calls her “one of those unique people that has the ability to reach out to those who are hurting and help them feel connected.”
Even though Violet grew up without a caring father in the house, her capacity to care for others never stopped growing. Neither was Violet slowed down by the fact she was forced to relocate half way through high school. As a new student at Johansen, she excelled in a rigorous academic program, became a vital member of her water polo and swimming teams, and continued to blossom as a leader in all of her relationships.
Violet is both the President of the Future Business Leaders of America at Johansen High School and a tireless volunteer for Harvesting Futures, a residential fruit gleaning program that harvests and donates fruit to the hungry. If it’s true that we reap what we sow, Violet can count on a very productive future.
