Public Transportation

Public Transportation in Modesto is provided by the Modesto Area Express (MAX).  By using MAX, passengers can connect to other public transportation services and areas.  Transfers include Stanislaus Regional Transit (StaRT), Ceres Area Transit (CAT), Ceres Dial-A-Ride, Riverbank-Oakdale Transit Authority (ROTA), AMTRAK, ACE Train (to the Bay Area), and BART (Bay Area).

MAX also has two major transportation hubs to connect to additional local and regional transportation.  One hub is the Downtown Transportation Center, located at 9th Street and J Street.  The second hub is located at Vintage Faire Mall at Dale Road and Veneman Road.
