Title: Writing Skills
OVERVIEW: This purpose of this course is to improve basic writing skills in
composition and ability to edit, raise awareness of grammar and increase confidence in overall writing skills.
LENGTH OF COURSE: 2 hours
TARGET AUDIENCE: All Employees
FREQUENCY OF TRAINING: Taught 2 times per year
METHOD OF DELIVERY: Lecture
TRAINING GOAL: This fast moving course will help anyone who writes and edits messages such as letters,
memos, e-mail and reports. Other specialized kinds of common governmental writing assignments will also be covered,
depending on the needs and requests of the participants.

ASSESSEMENT: Assessment of this class will be accomplished through a Class Evaluation Sheet.
The Training Committee will review all class evaluation sheets on a quarterly basis to specifically identify
strength and weakness in both course content and instructor delivery and take appropriate action(s) to continuously
improve content or instructor delivery respectively.
