|The Records Division is an integral part of the Modesto Police Department. They
receive all paperwork involved in cases and process it into file and send copies to various other
units for investigation or prosecution. They answer all incoming calls to the Modesto Police 24
hours a day and route them to the appropriate places. They also assist people who come in to the
Modesto Police Department for copies of their reports.
