Don’t Miss the Opportunity to be Part of North America’s Most Successful Cycling Race

April 5 is the deadline for sponsorship opportunities for the 2010 Amgen Tour of California Stage 4 Finish in Modesto

The 2009 Amgen Tour of California had an estimated economic impact of 100 million dollars for the state of California. Those numbers are likely to climb as the popularity of the event spreads. It’s not too late to be part of this successful event, but don’t wait too long because April 5 is the deadline for Stage 4 Finish - Modesto sponsorship opportunities.

“The Amgen Tour of California is the biggest race in the United States...,” Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger expressed at the Prologue Amgen Tour Post-Race ceremony in 2009. The Amgen Tour of California brings prestige to those who participate in sponsoring the event. All Modesto businesses are encouraged to join with local presenting sponsor Save Mart Supermarkets, and be a part of this extremely successful event.

The biggest names in cycling will be rolling through Modesto once again on Wednesday, May 19, and organizers are expecting crowds of twenty thousand plus spectators along the Modesto Stage 4 Finish route and at the Finish Line in Downtown Modesto at the intersection of 12th and I Streets.  Aside from a booth at the MBT Lifestyle Festival that will host hundreds of vendor and informational booths, those who sponsor (depending on the level) can also receive:

  • Passes to the Mayors Reception and Mayors Race-Day Brunch;
  • Recognition in the Amgen Tour of California program;
  • Recognition on Modesto’s Amgen Tour of California Web site;
  • Local VIP Hospitality Tent Passes;
  • Recognition in pre-race marketing materials.

The deadline for sponsorship opportunities is approaching quickly, as April 5, is just one week away.  For information on the different sponsorship levels and corresponding benefits packages, go online to:, call Andy Johnson at (209) 571-5582 or send an e-mail to
