ARREST MADE IN MODESTO HOME INVASION ROBBERY

The men ransacked the home and took cash, jewelry, a rifle and other property before fleeing. The case was assigned to Modesto Police robbery / homicide detectives, but no suspects were immediately identified.

Officers with the Modesto Police Department Street Crimes Unit (SCU) began looking for Daniels and found him near the intersection of 4th and “I” Streets on 4/15/09. He was taken into custody without incident.
Mixon was shot and killed by Oakland Police on March 21, 2009 in an incident that ultimately left four officers dead.
Daniels was booked at the Stanislaus County Jail for robbery, home-invasion robbery, being armed during the commission of a felony, assault with a deadly weapon, and several outstanding warrants. He was also in possession of controlled substances at the time of his arrest. Mixon would have faced charges of robbery, home-invasion robbery, and being armed during the commission of a felony had he still been alive.
