Modesto Police Investigate Robbery at Coach Store


On January 21, 2013, at 6:26 p.m. Modesto Police Officers were dispatched to investigate a robbery at the Coach store located at the Vintage Faire Mall. Surveillance photographs show the suspect attacking an employee to make his getaway.

A Hispanic male entered the Coach store and grabbed several display purses. As he fled with the purses a store employee attempted to stop him from leaving. Surveillance photographs show the suspect getting ready to punch the employee and struggling with her. Witnesses state the suspect punched the employee with his fist causing her to fall. After assaulting the employee the suspect fled with the stolen purses.

The suspect is described as approximately 5 foot, 10 inches tall.  He was wearing a black Cincinnati Reds baseball cap, blue jeans and a gray sweater with red hood.
