Modesto, CA - Normally, you will hear “police chatter” on a patrol car radio or a police scanner, but tomorrow, staff from the Modesto Police Department will be taking to the radio airwaves.
On Tuesday, April 15th, from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M., join Modesto Police Captain Rick Armendariz as he guest hosts the “Dave Bowman” radio talk show on Power Talk 1360. He will be taking you behind the scenes to discuss current crime trends, issues and challenges facing law enforcement in Stanislaus County and the Region. You will also have an opportunity to participate in contests to win a variety of prizes. This informative and entertaining show will highlight many topics, such as:
· Information Sharing Through Social Media
· Gangs – From Prevention and Intervention to Suppression efforts
· Technology in Law Enforcement
· Crime Prevention and Crime Awareness

There will be many guests and subject matter experts on hand, who will be sharing their insights. “This is another great opportunity for our Department to connect with the community we serve”, said Chief Galen Carroll. “Our goal is to get the citizens of Modesto more involved in the neighborhoods they live in. Providing education and awareness is a way to equip the community with tools they can use in their own front yard.”
