Modesto, CA - On May 22, 2014, Agents from the Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency (SDEA), and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) concluded a lengthy investigation into a narcotics trafficking ring that resulted in the arrest of (5) adults.  The investigation came about after receiving an anonymous tip that narcotics were being sold from a business on Paradise Road in Modesto, Ca.  As a result of the investigation, various drugs were seized including approximately 2 pounds of methamphetamine, an undisclosed amount of cocaine and marijuana, one stolen firearm, and $56,000 in cash.

Lieutenant Clint Raymer, commander of the Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency, said SDEA and DEA are part of the Central Valley High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (CV HIDTA) Initiative that focuses its enforcement efforts into apprehending high level narcotic traffickers dealing in large quantities of illegal drugs.  Lt Raymer stated, "These types of narcotic traffickers serve as the suppliers to many street level drug dealers which are quite often linked to local gangs.  SDEA and DEA will continue to focus on dismantling these drug trade organizations that exist in our community."

Modesto Police Sergeant, Jason Grogan, led a team of SDEA and DEA Agents in serving a total of 6 search warrants in the cities of Modesto, Ceres, and Turlock.  One of the warrants was at a Modesto business, Bob’s Transmission, 917 Paradise Rd., where narcotics trafficking had taken place.  A total of 5 subjects have been arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail.  Their charges include 182PC, Conspiracy, 11352H&S, Distribution of Cocaine, and 11379 H&S, Distribution of Methamphetamine.
