On 5/31/12, at about 7:53 p.m., Modesto police officers responded to a single vehicle collision near the intersection of Tully Rd and Pelandale Ave. When officers arrived they found a critically injured male that had been ejected from his vehicle. The 39 year old Modesto resident was treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a white pickup truck was traveling southbound on Tully Rd from Pelandale Ave at high rate of speed when for a still undetermined reason he veered onto the west sidewalk area. The vehicle struck a power pole and rolled until it came to rest. The driver of the vehicle was ejected during the collision.
