Northeast Modesto Bank Targeted in Robbery

Modesto, CA- Modesto Police are investigating a bank robbery in northeast Modesto and are requesting the public’s help in identifying the robber.

 

On Tuesday June 12th, at about 12:18 P.M., employees at Citibank, located at 1340 Oakdale Road, reported a bank robbery.  The suspect entered the bank, armed with a shotgun, and demanded money from the teller.  Once the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of currency, he fled the bank.  The suspect was last seen running southbound in the parking lot. 

 

The suspect is described as a white male adult, about 5’-8” tall and weighing 135 to 150 lbs.  He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a dark colored hood, which concealed his face. 

 

Police ask anyone who may have information regarding this incident to please call Crime Stoppers toll free at (209) 521-4636. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.  Tipsters can also text information to Crime Stoppers by sending a text message to 274637.
