Second Chance Week is a national public awareness campaign to promote the use of old items through the motto “Reuse, Repair, Resale and Donate.”
As fall and winter approach, the days and nights get colder. With that in mind, this year the City of Modesto will collect clean, gently used (or new) blankets and distribute them to local agencies who will give them to local residents and families in need.
When sorting through your blankets, give them a “Second Chance” by donating them during this annual special collection event which runs from October 14-20, 2012.
