PROJECT:
Stanislaus Foods Road Closure
STATUS:
Closure began Tuesday, July 16, 2013 and extends through October 13, 2013.
IMPACT:
11th Street will be closed from D Street to Morton Boulevard.  B Street will be closed from 10th Street to Morton Boulevard.  Detours will be in place for alternate access.  Motorists are requested to travel slowly through detour areas, and if possible find alternate routes.

PROJECT:
Sylvan Avenue and Litt Road Improvements
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for late-November 2013.
IMPACT:
Traffic controls with one narrow lane in each direction are in place along Sylvan Avenue from Millbrook Avenue to Claus Road. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.
LITT ROAD BOTH DIRECTIONS:  Litt Road north and south of Sylvan Avenue will not be accessible to traffic from Sylvan Avenue.

PROJECT:
Carpenter Road Bridge Seismic Retrofit
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for November 2013.
IMPACT:
Traffic will be restricted to alternating, one-way traffic control with flaggers. Drivers should expect delays. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible. Oversized and Wide Load Vehicles should use alternate routes.
NOTE:
The Carpenter Road Bridge over the Tuolumne River will be closed to all traffic beginning Friday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m., and will reopen on Monday, August 26 at 7:00 a.m. Detours will be in place directing northbound traffic to use Whitmore Avenue and southbound traffic to use Paradise Road. All commercial trucks and vehicles must use the detours. Hatch Road and Robertson Road will remain open for local traffic. 
 
Construction crews will be working 24 hours per day during this period of the bridge closure. Electronic message boards and detour signs will be in place to alert and direct motorists. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.

PROJECT:
Sanitary Sewer Collection System Replacement
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for mid-September 2013.
IMPACT:
Contractor will be on J Street from 6th Street to 8th Street. Construction work will be in the middle of J Street. Detours will be in place. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.

Gas Main Work by PG&E
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for late-August 2013.
IMPACT:
Dale Road from Bangs Avenue to Standiford Avenue and Sisk Road at Rumble Road will be restricted to alternating, one-way traffic control with flaggers and shoulder work. Daytime work will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Nighttime work will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays. Electronic message board signs are in place to alert drivers of the upcoming road work. For further information about this work contact PG&E directly at (559) 317-8857.

Safety Project by PG&E
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected by end of August 2013.
IMPACT:
AREA 1: Bangs Avenue from Dale Road to McHenry Avenue will be restricted with 24 hour traffic control and shoulder work.  Daytime work will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Nighttime work will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
AREA 2: McHenry Avenue from Claratina Avenue to Bangs Avenue will be restricted to one lane traffic each way.  Westbound Claratina Avenue east of McHenry Avenue will be closed intermittently. Nighttime work will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays. Electronic message board signs are in place to alert drivers of the upcoming road work. For further information about this work contact PG&E directly at (559) 317-8857.

PROJECT:
Street Improvements East El Vista Elementary School
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for mid-September 2013.
IMPACT:
Work will be ongoing with traffic controls, flaggers and restrictions. Contractor is working at Colfax Avenue, Bellamy Street, Roble Avenue, Viola Street and Trask Lane. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.
Construction activities will be limited to Trask Lane until all major work is complete. Contractor will then begin landscape on all streets involved.

PROJECT:
CVIN Fiber Optic Underground Placement Project
STATUS:
Work is in progress in multiple areas. Project completion is expected for end of September 2013.
IMPACT:
AREA 1: Southbound College Avenue from Orangeburg Avenue to Needham Avenue and westbound Needham Avenue from McHenry Avenue to College Avenue.
AREA 2: H Street from 18th Street to 11th Street and 11th Street from Needham Avenue to H Street.
AREA 3: La Loma Avenue from James Street to Miller Avenue.
AREA 4: Eastbound Orangeburg Avenue from College Avenue to Martin Road.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane traffic and shoulder work. Work will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.

Pavement Overlay - Woodland Avenue between 9th Street & Carpenter Road
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for August 29, 2013
IMPACT:
Sections of Woodland will be closed to traffic throughout the project. Detours will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and will need to use alternate routes.
