Four arrested after baby found in critical condition

Modesto, CA- On November 9, 2013, Modesto Police Officers’ were called to Doctor’s Medical Center for the report of a critically injured infant.  The infant had been brought to the emergency room by relatives and then was transferred to Oakland Children’s Hospital.  The child remains in critical condition. 

A follow-up investigation revealed the infant had been living with relatives in the 1000 block of Boulder Avenue along with 4 adults and 6 other children.  All three bedrooms had been converted into an illegal marijuana growing operation, using stolen power.  The entire family was living out of the family room and a converted closet.  200 marijuana plants and several items of evidence were seized from the home. 

Child protective services was called and took custody of the remaining children who range from 5 to 12 years old.  The following four adults were arrested and booked into jail:

1.      Elizabeth Aguilar 18 years-old

2.      Daniel Villasenor 19 years-old

3.      Raul Aguilar 26 years-old

4.      Maria Hernandez 30 years-old

All four were booked for multiple charges including, child endangerment, causing injury to a child, marijuana cultivation and possession of marijuana for sale.
