Traffic controls and ongoing construction continue for the State Route 99 (SR-99) Pelandale Avenue Interchange Reconstruction Project. In addition, construction on Salida Boulevard will be in progress. Motorists can expect delays and are advised to take alternate routes if possible.
Drivers are asked to be mindful of the following traffic controls:
- Eastbound traffic on Pelandale Avenue from Salida Boulevard to Sisk Road has one through lane with a left turn lane at both Northbound SR-99 on-ramp and Sisk Road intersections.
- Westbound Pelandale Avenue has existing center through lane closed and traffic must merge left to access the left-turn lane or merge right to access one through/right-turn lane.
These configurations will remain in place for several months. Motorists can expect to experience lengthy delays and are encouraged to utilize alternate routes when possible.
FUTURE DETOUR NOTIFICATION: Please be advised that on August 13, 2014, the northbound on-ramp to State Route 99 will be permanently closed while construction of the new northbound on-ramp is completed (approximately 3 weeks). Traffic on Pelandale Avenue that wishes to access northbound State Route 99 traffic will be detoured north to Kiernan Avenue interchange or south to the Standiford Avenue interchange. On August 13, 2014 the temporary southbound on-ramp (located at the south end of Salida Blvd.) will be open and operational. At that time the railroad crossing for traffic on Dakota Avenue to Salida Avenue will be closed. Traffic on Dakota Avenue will be detoured either south to Beckwith Road and east to the Standiford Interchange or west on Murphy Road then north on Finney Road then east on Broadway Avenue to the Kiernan Avenue Interchange.
