The City of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department is offering lifeguard training classes by the American Red Cross that teach surveillance skills, scanning, victim recognition, stages of drowning, water rescue skills, spinal management, first aid training, and professional rescuer CPR/AED. Course will held March 1, 2, 8 & 9, Saturday and Sunday, 9am-5pm. Course cost is $225. Successful Completion will certify participants in American Red Cross: Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer and Blood borne Pathogens.
