H Street reconstruction
H Street will be closed to through traffic from Scenic Drive to 17th Street until mid-October. Cross traffic from 17th, 19th, Downey, and Burney Streets will be allowed during the daytime only. Intermittent street and lane closures are expected to continue throughout the project. Motorists should travel slowly through the work zone. Traffic will be maintained, but motorists may experience significant delays. Multiple detours will be provided. Motorists who normally use Scenic Drive or La Loma Avenue into downtown Modesto are asked to use alternate routes - Orangeburg or Yosemite are suggested. Motorists who normally use G Street to Scenic Drive are asked to use alternate routes - Yosemite is suggested.
PG&E gas line relocation at the Scenic, Downey, Burney & H Streets intersection
Anticipate road closures at the Scenic, Downey, Burney, and H Street intersection between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. All utility construction will take place at night. Intersection is to be reopened at 6:00 a.m. daily. Several detours will be available. Please use alternate routes. Completion is scheduled for mid-October 2009.
