Traffic Impact Report 1/17/14


PROJECT: Floyd Avenue Crack Sealing

STATUS: Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for end of January.

IMPACT: Floyd Avenue from Oakdale Road to Rose Avenue will be reduced to one lane.

Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone. Drivers should

expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.


PROJECT: CVIN Fiber Optic Underground Placement Project

STATUS: Work is in progress in multiple areas. Project completion is expected for February


IMPACT: AREA 1: 10th Street from J Street to H Street and M Street from Needham Avenue

to 11th Street.

AREA 2: Coffee Road from Orangeburg Avenue to Celeste Road.

AREA 3: Briggsmore/Carpenter Road Overcrossing from Orangeburg/Sisk Road

intersection to Bluegum Avenue.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane traffic and shoulder work. Work will be Monday

through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and night work beginning at 7:00 p.m. to 5:00

a.m. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage.

Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.


PROJECT: E. Orangeburg Avenue Tree Trimming

STATUS: Work will begin January 2014 and extends through February 2014.

IMPACT: E. Orangeburg Avenue from Rose Avenue to Oakdale Road will be closed for tree

trimming. Detours will be in place for alternate routes. Motorists are requested to

drive slowly through detour areas, and if possible find alternate routes.


PROJECT: Strengthen & Replace Water System in the alley between El Vista/Cloverdale

STATUS: Construction will begin Monday, January 13th and continue through March 2014

IMPACT: Work will be in the alley between Miller Avenue and Roble Avenue. Traffic impact

should be minimal. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone

and use alternate routes when possible.
