TRAFFIC IMPACT REPORT
May 9, 2014

PROJECT: CVIN Fiber Optic Underground Placement Project
STATUS: Work is in progress in multiple areas. Project completion is expected
for end of May 2014.
IMPACT: AREA 1: 10th Street from J Street to H Street and M Street from Needham Avenue
to 11th Street.
AREA 2: Coffee Road from Orangeburg Avenue to Celeste Road.
AREA 3: Briggsmore/Carpenter Road Overcrossing from Orangeburg/Sisk Road
intersection to Blue Gum Avenue.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane traffic and shoulder work. Work will be Monday
through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and night work beginning at 7:00 p.m. to 5:00
a.m. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage.
Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.

PROJECT: Virginia Corridor Phase 6
STATUS: Work is in progress. Project completion is expected by end of June 2014.
IMPACT: Construction has begun with the installation of a temporary fence installed along the
Corridor. The travel ways down the Corridor will be permanently blocked. There’ll be
minor traffic control measures implemented on Bowen Avenue, Leveland Lane,
West Rumble Road and Woodrow Avenue. Expect periodic lane closures using cones,
construction signs and road closures. All work will be on going until completed.
Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the construction zones and use
alternate routes when possible.

PROJECT: Oakdale Road Pavement Rehabilitation
STATUS: Work is scheduled to begin on April 21st, 2014. Project completion is expected to be
June 16th, 2014.
IMPACT: Oakdale Road from Briggsmore Avenue to Floyd Avenue will be restricted with
alternating lane closures in place. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through
the work zone. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.

PROJECT: Roselle and Merle Intersection Project
STATUS: Project will begin on Monday April 14th. Project completion is expected by end of
August 2014.
IMPACT: Traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction. Motorists are requested to travel
slowly through the work zone. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes
when possible.

PROJECT: State Route 99/Pelandale Avenue Interchange Reconstruction Project
STATUS: Project is scheduled to begin on May 12th. Project completion is expected by 2017.
IMPACT: The first stage of the project will be to grind the lane lines on State Route 99 and
restriping to shift traffic on State Route 99 towards the center median. Salida
Boulevard will be widened to construct the new temporary southbound on-ramp to
State Route 99. There will be lane closures on State Route 99 and some traffic shifts
on Salida Boulevard. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone.
Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.

PROJECT: Coffee Road Patching Project
STATUS: Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for May 30th, 2014.
IMPACT: Coffee Road from Scenic Drive to Orangeburg Avenue. Traffic will be reduced to one
lane. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone. Drivers should
expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.

PROJECT: Carpenter Road Median Project
STATUS: Work is to begin May 15th. Project completion is expected for May 30th, 2014.
IMPACT: Carpenter Road from Blue Gum Avenue to 9th Street. Traffic will be reduced to one
lane in both directions. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work
zone. Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.
