2015 Celebration of Lights Miracle on 10th Street

Holiday Parade

Modesto's annual Celebration of Lights is scheduled for Saturday, December 5th and includes family-friendly events such as a Breakfast with Santa, Dickens' Faire and Modesto Certified Farmer's Market, and our annual Holiday Parade. Following the parade will be a traditional Community Tree Lighting and a Downtown Holiday Extravaganza occurring every weekend until Christmas.

Seventh Annual Breakfast With Santa

Start the day off with a delicious pancake Breakfast with Santa at the Senior Center, 211 Bodem Street in Modesto. Breakfast is served from 8:30-11:00 am and includes live music, crafts for the kids, story time with Mrs. Claus and of course, a visit with the big guy!

Dickens' Faire and Farmers Market

From 9:00am-3:00pm, take a step back in time at the Dickens' Faire and Modesto Certified Farmers Market on 15th Street between I and J Streets. The McHenry Mansion will be fully decorated as a Victorian Christmas and there will be crafts and activities for the kiddos at the McHenry Museum.

Celebration of Lights Parade

Stick around for the biggest community event of the year, our annual holiday parade in downtown Modesto. The theme this year is Miracle on 10th Street! Parade starts at 5:30pm on I and 14th Streets.

Parade entry applications are now available: Click Here. Spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis, so you'll want to get your application in early.

Downtown Tree Lighting

Immediately following the parade is the traditional community tree lighting in Tenth Street Plaza, 1010 Tenth Street, Modesto.
