conferences, rallies, athletic demonstrations, and candlelight
vigils are some examples of the type of events that have been held
at Tenth Street Plaza.
Where is Tenth Street Plaza located?
Tenth Street Plaza is on Tenth Street, between J &
K Streets in downtown Modesto. It is one city block in front of
the city and county building that is blocked to through traffic
and for pedestrian use only.
How do I get to Tenth Street Plaza from Highway 99?
Northbound: Take
Central Modesto exit. The
off-ramp merges into Sixth Street.
Stay on Sixth Street for five (5) blocks.
Turn right on K Street. Go
four (4) blocks 10th and K Streets.
Southbound:
Take Maze Boulevard exit. At the top of the off-ramp is a
signal Light. Go one block
further and turn left on K Street.
Go five (5) blocks to 10th and K Streets.
Do you have rental rates for private and non-profit
users?
Yes, we offer both rates. In order to benefit by the non-profit
rate, organizations need to provide a 501 (c) 3 or 4 letter from
the IRS.
Can I have music or amplified sound at my event in
the plaza?
Yes, a Sound Amplification Permit is required
through the Police Department.
Can I serve alcohol at my event in the plaza?
Non-profit organizations can apply for a Daily
Alcohol Permit through the Police Department and certain
restrictions and regulations apply.
Do I need security at my event in the plaza?
Certain types of events will require private
security.
What other permits or approvals are required?
Certain events may require Fire Marshal and / or
Police Department approval.
