The City of
Modesto has a park system.......
Please help to
keep our parks safe and beautiful.
Report Graffiti and Vandalism.
We need your help
to keep our parks safe and beautiful.
Call (209) 342-2253 to report graffiti in parks.
Keep "Spot"
Leashed While in Parks.
Unleashed dogs can frighten children. Please keep "Spot"
on a leash—it’s the law! Please also pick up after "Spot."
Put Litter in
its Place. From small pieces of paper to large bags of garbage—it all adds up.
Recycle Bottles
and Cans. Glass containers are dangerous and prohibited in
parks. Cans should be recycled whenever possible.
Avoid
Machinery. While in our parks, avoid mowers, tractors
and other equipment. It is not safe to play around this equipment.
Help
Encourage Kids Not to Smoke. Tobacco products are not
permitted
within 50 feet of any children’s play area intended
for public use.
Keep Golf Balls
on Golf Courses. Hitting golf balls in parks is
dangerous and
unlawful.
Respect the
Plants. Watch out for shrubs and flowers. It is unlawful
to
bring into any park materials that may injure turf or plants
if spilled.
Leave Used
Charcoal in Grills. Hot coals destroy garbage cans and
grass, and
can ignite trash. Please leave charcoal in grills.
Avoid Playing
Games on Wet Turf. Playing soccer or football on wet
fields destroys the grass, which cannot be easily repaired.
Play Safe and
Supervised. Use playground equipment properly.
Inappropriate use can cause injuries and damage equipment.
Be Aware of
Irrigation Activity. Some irrigation systems require
daytime
watering. Please be on the lookout for this activity.
Be Respectful
of Neighbors Who Live Around Parks. Please don’t
trespass on our park neighbors, and keep noise to a
reasonable level.
Park Only
in Authorized Areas. Unauthorized vehicles are not
allowed in
parks. Please park only in designated public parking areas.
