| The
Park Services Division provides maintenance and services to 72
city parks, Tuolumne River Regional Park, John Thurman Field, many
landscaped sites, public right-of-ways, transportation sites, bus
stops, recreation programs and community events. Park Services
staff maintains over 1,088 acres of developed parks, including
over 500 acres of turf, 15 wading pools, 44 tennis courts, eight
lighted ball fields, 22 soccer fields, 56 playgrounds, 18 group
picnic sites and over 11 miles of bike paths. Park crews are on
duty seven days a week for most of the year.
We are continuously reaching for the goal of creating community
and enhancing neighborhoods through the proper maintenance and
protection of our city parks. |
