The Red Hat Society Scarlet Sparklers Chapter at the Modesto Senior
Citizens Center operates in association with the City of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods
Department.
The Red Hat Society is a global society of women approaching the age of 50 or beyond that connects and
supports women in their pursuit of Fun, Friendship, Freedom and Fulfillment!
The Scarlet Sparklers meet regularly for Games and Gab, Red Hat Crafts
and Luncheon Socials.
Games and Gab -
Come the first Thursday of every month from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Senior
Citizens Center, 211 Bodem Street, for a ton of fun!
Red Hat Crafts -
Meet the third Thursday of every month from 9-11 a.m. at the Senior Citizens Center, 211 Bodem Street, for Red Hat
crafts. Craft projects range from creating a 'sparkling' name badge, to decorating hats, to embellishing accessories
for Red Hat Regalia.
Socials -
Gather for a fabulous time the fourth Monday of every month
at the designated restaurant. The Sparklers go out in full Red Hat Regalia – women age
50 years and older wear a red hat and purple outfit and women under 50 years wear a pink hat and
lavender outfit.
In addition to the fabulous gatherings, the Sparklers often go on day trips to various interesting
places in the surrounding area.
