CAD Details

CAD Details for the 2002 Standard Specifications, Erosion and Sediment Control Manual, and Modesto Storm Water Guidance Manual are on this CD and available in a zip format on the internet page. The CAD files are in Autodesk 2000 format.

Community Facility Fees (CFF) Public Report

A public report on the facilities included in the facility fee for building permits. Report includes the costs of major infrastructure such as major streets, parks, fire stations, and police stations throughout the City of Modesto.

Community Facilities District (CFD) Reports (Mello Roos Financing Reports)

Public reports on the facilities included in the CFD fee for building permits in certain areas of the city. Report includes the costs for major infrastructure such as major streets, storm drain infrastructure, local parks, local fire stations, and local police stations in the City of Modesto.

City Council Agendas (internet link)

Links to our internet site for City Council Agendas. You can view an upcoming agenda or search through past minutes of meetings. You can search by a subdivision name for dates of acceptance and resolution numbers or by project names and topics. (HOW TO USE)

Dual Use Basins

Provides standards for designing a dual use basin. A dual use basin combines a park with a storm drain basin.

Engineer Vault Records

A Microsoft Access database of all the records available in the City of Modesto’s Engineer & Transportation Fire Proof Vault (currently as of December 1, 2002). Most of the plans have been scanned and converted to Adobe Acrobat file format. Due to the file size of the Adobe file, you can only conduct searches using this database. You must call (ph. 209-571-5569) or email pkheik@modestogov.com with a request for the prints. Please use the plan number to make a request. Plans with year dates prior to 1993 may not be available digitally. Also, please be aware some prints are over 15 mb’s in size. Request for plan years after December 1, 2002, may also be made to the aforementioned address. (HOW TO USE)

Erosion & Sediment Control Manual

Provides guidance to the contractor and engineer on best management practices to control erosion and sediment during the construction phase of a project.

Exaction Policy

Sets forth the policy for dedication of right-of-way for street construction and street construction by new development.

General Plan

Document which sets forth the master growth plans for the City of Modesto sphere of influence. This document typically looks at the city growth 20 years out and is updated every 5 years.

Geographical Information System (GIS – Internet Link)

Links to the city’s web site for interactive GIS data. The GIS server is MapGuide. The user is required to use Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser and install a free MapGuide plugin. (HOW TO USE) (GET PLUG-IN)

Grade Maps

Maps created in 1993 which provide the top of curb grades for determining drainage patterns, inlet locations, and dimensions for locating property lines based on the face of the curb.  (HOW TO USE)

Maps

A searchable version of the City of Modesto’s Municipal Code maintained on a 3rd party’s web site. (HOW TO USE)

Sewer Maps

Maps created in 1993 which provide the location of house sewer services and main sewer laterals as well as depths of the sewer and manhole rim elevations. All elevations given are on a City of Modesto datum. Subdivision improvement plans and City project plans are available for locating house sewer laterals and sewer mains after 1993. In 1997, the city adopted a standard to install sewer cleanouts at the back of sidewalk. This device should aid in the location of the house sewer service. (HOW TO USE).

Specific Plans

A specific provides the master planning of the infrastructure and identification and mitigation of environmental issues for a specific area. Prior to any new development in an area specified in the General Plan as a comprehensive planning districts, a specific plan must be developed and approved by City Council.

Standard Specifications, 1997 & 2001

Sets forth standards for design and construction of public and some private infrastructure within the City’s sphere of influence. Also, the sewer and water systems specifications are standards to be used wherever the City of Modesto is the purveyor of the water or sewer systems. See CAD Details above to find out how to retrieve CAD formatted details. Also, a Microsoft Word format of the 2002 Standard Specifications is available on the CD and internet site.

Stormwater Access & Maintenance Agreement

All zoned new developments but residential must execute a Stormwater Access & Maintenance Agreement prior to occupancy. This agreement allows the City’s stormwater inspectors to sample onsite stormwater runoff and stormwater control devices.

Storm Water Guidance Manual

Provides guidance to the developer and his or her engineer on best management practices to control pollutants from entering storm water which discharges to waterways, basins, and/or rockwells. See CAD Details above to find out how to retrieve CAD formatted details.

Trench Cut Ordinance

Provides for the collection of fees for street cuts by contractors in public streets. Fees are based on the pavement condition index (PCI). (HOW TO USE)
