City of Modesto Drought Contingency Plan

Wiser Water Miser Logo

On March 25, 2003, the Modesto City Council adopted Stage I restrictions of the Drought Contingency Plan. This water shortage plan was prepared to address current water capacity issues, including enacting measures to reduce water consumption. Last summer, water pressures dipped below city and state water system standards. By enacting this aggressive program to reduce demands, together we can ensure that system pressures do not deteriorate in the future.
