Responsibilities
The mission of the Public Events Advisory Committee shall be to advise and assist the Modesto Convention and Visitors' Bureau in the development of marketing for conventions, sporting events, motor coach tours, film production, and leisure travel to the City of Modesto and within Stanislaus County. Furthermore, the Committee shall act in an advisory capacity to the city administrative staff and the City Council in making recommendations for approval of special events and programs.
Membership Requirements
The members of the Committee shall reside or have business interests or employment within the city limits of the City of Modesto at the time of appointment and must maintain residence/business interest/employment within the City at all times during their service on the Committee.
Each member of the City Council shall appoint one member to the Committee.
