    Inspiration for this design comes from the adjacent Mildred Perkins Elementary School, “Home of the Rockets”. Blast off to new adventures on this rocket ship playground. View the stars by using the “Flight Deck” and check off each planet you explore on the “planet panel”. This playground will surely be a blast!

    Inspiration for this design comes from the adjacent Mildred Perkins Elementary School, “Home of the Rockets”. Enjoy an out of this world experience with the space station playground! Explore and climb through the entire space station as it orbits earth or space walk to the smaller space station to enjoy the stars.

Project Status and Updates

This playground project is currently in design phase and in need of public input. Construction activity is anticipated to begin in Spring 2024. The playground is currently open for public use. 

Project Information

With voter approved Measure H, the City is renovating various amenities in our park system. The various Playground Renovation Projects will remove existing playground sand and playground equipment, installation of new drainage improvements, playground equipment, concrete ADA ramps and playground wood chips.
