This pavement maintenance/rehabilitation project was completed by city staff on G Street as part of our summer pavement rehabilitation program.
The project was conducted August 13th through August 22nd.
Purpose
Funded by Prop 1B funds, the G Street project included the removal of the old pavement, and re-pavement of the section of roadway from 9th to 12th Street. City staff also re-striped this section with new pavement markings, cross-walks and striping.
This type of work typically extends the durability of a street surface for as much as 20 years.
