Modesto, CA- The identities of a crime duo is being sought after they burglarized a Society for Handicapped Children and Adults thrift store earlier this month.

On October 22, 2013 officers were dispatched to the 3100 Block of McHenry Avenue to investigate a theft.  When officers arrived they learned the theft had occurred prior and had not been reported due to technical difficulties with the business’s camera system.

Officers learned that on October 7, 2013 a male and female entered the business at approximately 4:30 PM.  The female was able to distract an employee while the male manipulated a cash register until it opened.  Once opened, the male took cash from inside, closed the register drawer and left the business with the female.

Employees from the business were able to provide police with photos of the suspects (below).  The suspects were described as a black male in his 40’s with a bald head and a black female in her 40’s with short hair.  They were seen driving a newer Volvo, dark in color.

If you have any information on this burglary or the identity of the suspects involved, call Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. Tipsters can also text information to Crime Stoppers by sending a text message to 274637.  Just type “TIP704” along with your message.
