COVID-19 UPDATES TESTING & VACCINES

FREE RIDES DURING GO GREEN WEEK

The S and Turlock Transit will offer free rides on all fixed-route and commuter buses during Go Green Week (March 13-19) as part of a joint, free ride promotion. This includes The S BART, ACE, and Stockton Commuter buses but excludes ADA Paratransit, Medivan, and Dial-a-Ride services. Funding for this free ride promotion is made possible through a grant from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) under the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP).

In addition to taking advantage of free public transit on The S and Turlock Transit, Stanislaus residents are also encouraged to consider walking, biking, and carpooling during Go Green Week. These choices will greatly help cut carbon emissions and improve air quality in the region.

MOSQUITO PROTECTION

To protect yourself and your neighbors against mosquitos, drain and dump mosquito-breeding sources from around your home. Anything that can hold water for more than a few days has the ability to produce mosquitoes. Protect yourself from mosquito bites by applying an EPA-registered insect repellent, like DEET, picardin, oil of lemon eucalyptus, or IR3535. Report any unusual mosquito activity, especially if they are aggressive daytime biting mosquitoes.
