Do you know someone interested in a career in the fire service? This program is designed to introduce young men and women ages 16-20 years to the fire service. Applications will be handed out at the mandatory orientation on September 28 at 8:00 am. Parents are encouraged to attend.

JR. GIANTS FESTIVAL DAY IN SAN FRANCISCO

On August 18, Modesto Junior Giants players and coaches in the Minors or Majors Divisions, got to attend the Junior Giants Festival Day on the field at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Modesto had 350 players and 85 coaches earn this opportunity by completing the Round the Bases Reading Program during our Summer Season. The Festival gives participants a chance to play on the field, in the dugout, run the bases, participate in batting practice and more! Additionally, players get to hear a presentation on Striking Out Bullying as well as visit activity, craft and photo booths in the Family Fun Zone and receive a free book from the San Francisco Public Library Bookmobile. Modesto Junior Giants had a fantastic day!

DOWNTOWN MODESTO DESIGN CHARRETTE

Input from the July 22, 2019 visioning event will be integrated into a multi-day exploration of potential downtown design concepts. There will be an opening meeting, a closing meeting, and several days for a walk through and comments on concept exhibits. Watch for more detailed information to come.
