Traffic Impacts
Minor disruptions, crews will be working in the following alleys:
- Miller Avenue and Glendale Avenue
Detours will be in place at:
- Trask Lane and Colfax Avenue from Dora Street to Yosemite Boulevard
Beginning February 13, 2024, Night work with lane closures:
- Yosemite Boulevard from Trask Lane and El Vista Street
Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.
La Loma Phase 2C
Project Status
Project is expected to be completed by September 2024.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic control will be in place:
- Encina Avenue from Santa Barbara Avenue to San Juan Avenue
- Roble Avenue from Rowland Avenue to Rosina Avenue
- Haddon Avenue from Rowland Avenue to North Cornejo Avenue
- Miller Avenue from Covena Avenue to San Juan Avenue
- Crews will be working in the alleys from Encina Avenue (North Limit) to Miller Avenue (South Limit) from Rowland Avenue (West Limit) to San Juan Avenue (East Limit)
Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.
Sonoma Trunk Extension, Lift Station & Sylvan Water Main Upgrade
Project Status
Expected to be completed by the end of February 2024.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic control in place shifting traffic to one lane each way, with flaggers, arrow boards and signs as needed:
- Sylvan Avenue between Oakdale Road and Aria Way
- Sylvan Avenue is open one lane each way for two-way traffic from Oakdale Road to Lydia Lane
Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.
River Trunk Realignment Gravity System & Shackelford Pump Station Project

- Colorado Avenue from South Avenue to Rouse Avenue
- South Avenue is closed from Yosemite Avenue to Rosedale Avenue
Following areas impacted but not closed:
- Garden Avenue – between Sutter Avenue & Colorado Avenue
- Colorado Avenue – between Garden Avenue & Avalon Avenue
- Roselawn Avenue – Between Pelton Avenue & Colorado Avenue
- Colorado Avenue - from Garden Avenue to Snead Drive
- Colorado Avenue from Garden Avenue to Faustina Avenue
- Colorado Avenue from Garden Avenue to Figaro Avenue
- Colorado Avenue from Figaro Avenue to Lema Avenue
- Colorado Avenue from Lema Avenue to Rouse Avenue

Sutter Trunk Rehabilitation Phase 2
Project Status
Project is expected to be completed by February 2024.
Traffic Impacts
Construction signs and traffic control is set up:
- Jefferson Street closed from Laurel Avenue to Elm Avenue
- Paradise Road returned to normal operation.
Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.
La Loma Sewer Phase 1
Project Status
Expected to be completed by January 2025.
Traffic Impacts
Minor lane shifts, lane splits, shoulder work, detours, and flaggers on-site.
Various locations on North Morton Boulevard from Downey Avenue to Walden Street
Including the following residential streets:
- La Loma Avenue
- Brook Way
- State Street
- James Street
- Lane Street
Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.
Paradise Road Area Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Improvements
Project Status
Expected to be completed by March 2025.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic control will be in place:
- Paradise Road: Sheridan Street to 1st Street
- South Jefferson Street: Paradise Road to Vine Street
- 1st Street: Vine Street to Sierra Drive
- G Street: Sierra Drive to 2nd Street
