The City of Modesto is undertaking a project to address congestion, traffic safety, and the lack of access to and through the Briggsmore Avenue/Carpenter Road interchange at State Route 99. This initiative will improve safety for all users and vehicle circulation, create dedicated separated spaces for bicyclists, pedestrians, and transit users, and mitigate traffic congestion.
This will involve improvements to the interchange and associated adjacent local roadways. This Briggsmore/Carpenter Interchange Improvement Project will result in more efficient and safe active transportation routes, enhance overall traffic flow and accessibility to nearby commercial districts, schools/college, and local and regional transit. Additionally, this project will reduce vehicle miles traveled (VMT) and improve air quality.
Join us at the Community Meeting about the Briggsmore Avenue/Carpenter Road Interchange Improvement Project. Learn about the project, its scope and objectives, and potential roadway improvements being considered for this project.
