The City of Modesto’s Culture Commission is soliciting applications for the next Poet Laureate. The Poet Laureate is a Non-salaried honorary position responsible for presenting original poems at various official occasions. The term is for two years with the possibility of one additional term, not to exceed four (4) consecutive years of service. The nomination form may be submitted online using the Poet Laureate Nomination Online Submission Form, by either the nominee or anyone wanting to nominate someone to fill the position.
The Culture Commission has extended the application deadline to July 1, 2020.
