[ARCHIVED] Weekly Traffic Impact Report Week of August 17, 2023

La Loma Phase 3A

Project Status

Work is in progress. 

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • Roble Avenue between El Vista Avenue and Colfax Avenue
  • Encina Avenue from Colfax Avenue to El Vista Avenue
  • Encina Avenue from Colfax Avenue to Trask Lane 

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Briggsmore Avenue, Orangeburg Avenue, & Empire Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation Project

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • Lane closure on Briggsmore Avenue at (Briggsmore Avenue & Oakdale Road) and at (Briggsmore Avenue and Coffee Road) 

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Highway Village Strengthen and Replace Water Mains 

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by October 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place on the following streets: 

  • Budd Street & Conant Avenue
  • Brenner Way & Conant Avenue
  • Sisk Road & Brenner Way
  • Earl Street and Sisk Road

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible

Sonoma Trunk Extension, Lift Station & Sylvan Water Main Upgrade

Project Status

Work is in progress. Expected to be completed by November 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control in place shifting traffic to one lane each way, with flaggers, arrow boards and signs as needed:

  • Oakdale Road between Post Office Drive and Mable Avenue
  • Sylvan Avenue between Oakdale Road and Aria Way 
  • Sylvan Avenue is open one lane each way for two-way traffic from Oakdale Road to Lydia Lane

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

River Trunk Realignment Gravity System & Shackelford Pump Station Project

Project Status

Work is in progress.

Traffic Impacts

Construction signs & traffic control is set up and will be adjusted as necessary: 

  • Intersection of Colorado Avenue and Roselawn Avenue is closed.

Following areas are closed to through traffic – Local Resident Access Only.

  • Garden Avenue – between Sutter Avenue & Colorado Avenue
  • Colorado Avenue – between Garden Avenue & Avalon Avenue
  • Roselawn Avenue – Between Pelton Avenue & Colorado Avenue
  • Colorado Avenue - from Garden Avenue to Snead Drive
  • Colorado Avenue from Garden Avenue to Faustina Avenue

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Sutter Avenue Strengthen & Replace

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Flaggers and detours will be in place. Impacts will be lane shifts, and partial lane closures

  • Throughout the streets of Roselawn Avenue, Rouse Avenue, Sunset Avenue, Jean Street, 

    Don Street, and Neece Street - Roads will be open for residential traffic. 

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Sutter Trunk Rehabilitation Phase 2

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by May 2024.

Traffic Impacts

Construction signs & traffic control is set up and will be adjusted as necessary: 

  • on Paradise Road between Martin Luther King Drive and H Street 

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Upgrade Traffic Signal

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by December 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be setup and adjusted as necessary: 

  • at the Intersections of 11th Street at Needham Avenue, 1st Street at H Street, and Paradise Road at H Street.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Forestry Department

Project Status

Tuesday, August 22 through Friday, August 25 

Traffic Impacts

Detouring traffic around the affected area.

  • West Rumble Road from Tully Road to Carver Road, to prune trees on both sides of the street. 

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.
