[ARCHIVED] Weekly Traffic Impact Report Week of October 12, 2023

La Loma Phase 3A

Project Status

Work is in progress. 

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • Minor disruptions: crews will be working in the alleys from Encina Avenue to Roble Avenue.
  • Traffic control will be in place: on Colfax Avenue from Roble Avenue to Yosemite Boulevard. 

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

La Loma Phase 2C

Project Status

Project is expected to be completed by September 2024.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • Encina Avenue from Santa Barbara Avenue to San Juan Avenue
  • Roble Avenue from Rowland Avenue to Rosina Avenue
  • Haddon Avenue from Rowland Avenue to N. Cornejo Avenue
  • Miller Avenue from Covena Avenue to San Juan Avenue
  • Crews will be working in the alleys from Encina Avenue (North Limit) to Miller Avenue (South Limit) from Rowland Avenue (West Limit) to San Juan Avenue (East Limit)

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Briggsmore Avenue, Orangeburg Avenue, & Empire Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation Project

Project Status

Work is on hold. Project is expected to resume on Coffee Road between Norwegian Avenue to Scenic Drive in October 2023.

Highway Village Strengthen and Replace Water Mains 

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by October 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place on the following streets: 

  • McAdoo Avenue
  • Garvey Avenue

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible

Sonoma Trunk Extension, Lift Station & Sylvan Water Main Upgrade

Project Status

Work is in progress. Expected to be completed by November 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control in place shifting traffic to one lane each way, with flaggers, arrow boards and signs as needed:

  • Oakdale Road between Post Office Drive and Mable Avenue
  • Sylvan Avenue between Oakdale Road and Aria Way 
  • Sylvan Avenue is open one lane each way for two-way traffic from Oakdale Road to Lydia Lane

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

River Trunk Realignment Gravity System & Shackelford Pump Station Project

Project Status

Work is in progress.

Traffic Impacts

Construction signs & traffic control is set up and will be adjusted as necessary: 

  • Garden Avenue – between Sutter Avenue & Colorado Avenue
  • Colorado Avenue – between Garden Avenue & Avalon Avenue
  • Roselawn Avenue – Between Pelton Avenue & Colorado Avenue
  • Colorado Avenue - from Garden Avenue to Snead Drive
  • Colorado Avenue from Garden Avenue to Faustina Avenue
  • Colorado Avenue from Garden Avenue to Figaro Avenue
  • Colorado Avenue from Figaro Avenue to Lema Avenue
  • Colorado Avenue from Lema Avenue to Rouse Avenue

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Sutter Avenue Strengthen & Replace

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by November 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Flaggers and detours will be in place. Impacts will be lane shifts, and partial lane closures

  • Road Closures, and detours throughout the streets of Rouse Avenue between Colorado Avenue to Sunset Avenue
  • Closures and detours will continue through Roselawn Avenue between Rouse Avenue to Pelton Avenue
  • Minor lane shifts and detours on Sunset Avenue between Rouse Avenue to Neece Drive, including Jean Street and Don Street. 

Residents and pedestrian traffic through only.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Sutter Trunk Rehabilitation Phase 2

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by May 2024.

Traffic Impacts

Construction signs & traffic control is set up and will be adjusted as necessary: 

  • Jefferson Street from Paradise Road to Maze Boulevard is now open to traffic.
  • Jefferson Street from Maze Boulevard to Linden Street remains closed.
  • Maze Boulevard remains open, though work operations may affect the Maze Boulevard - Jefferson Street crosswalk.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Upgrade Traffic Signal

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by December 2023.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be setup and adjusted as necessary: 

  • at the Intersections of 11th Street at Needham Avenue, 1st Street at H Street, and Paradise Road at H Street.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Retroreflective Backplates and Striping

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by March 2024.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place at the intersections of:

10/16-10/20

  • Dale Road / Panera Bread
  • Dale Road / Veneman Avenue
  • Sisk Road / Vintage Faire
  • Sisk Road / Target Center
  • Sisk Road / Village Place
