Dear Stanislaus Community System of Care (CSOC/CoC) Members:
The results of the 2017 Annual Point-In-Time Homeless Count (conducted on January 29, 2017) are now available!
Overall, there was an increase in the number of homeless persons counted during the 2017 Point-In-Time count. The analysis and data support the conclusion that a revised counting method and an increase in trained volunteers attributed to the increase in homeless persons counted. In 2015 and 2016, there were 104 and 102 trained volunteers, respectively. In 2017, the number of trained volunteers substantially increased to 185, a 78% increase.
The 2017 Annual Point-In-Time Homeless Count and the 2017 Housing Inventory Count will be reviewed and discussed at the next Stanislaus Community System of Care/Continuum of Care meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.
