The City of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department will partner with Modesto City Schools Student, Parent & Community Support Services (SPCSS) to present the 6th annual “Welcome Back to School” event on Friday, August 2nd, at James Marshall Park, 440 Sutter Avenue, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The event will provide over 50 community-based agencies, offering health, safety. resource information, children activities, face painting, D.J. music entertainment, cultural performances, refreshments and a backpack giveaway (*limited quantities of backpacks, first-come, first-served basis.
