Road Closures & Traffic

PROJECT: | WYLIE FLOYD CARVER STREET IMPROVEMENTS |
STATUS: | Work is in progress. Project expected to be completed by October 2019. |
IMPACT: | Construction signs are set up:
- TRAFFIC CONTROL ON FLOYD AVENUE FROM COFFEE ROAD TO OAKDALE ROAD FOR THE LOWERING OF IRON.
- CONTINUING WITH DAY-TO-DAY TRAFFIC CONTROL OPERATIONS AROUND CURB RAMP WORK ON WYLIE DRIVE/ROSE AVENUE.
- Grinding for the removal of striping.
- CAPE SEAL ON WYLIE DRIVE FROM OAKDALE ROAD TO ROSE AVENUE.
- ROAD CLOSURES FOR SLURRY SEAL ON WYLIE DRIVE FROM OAKDALE ROAD TO ROSE AVENUE.
- Continued traffic control for striping operation.
- TRAFFIC CONTROL FOR THE LOWERING OF IRON ON FLOYD AVENUE FROM COFFEE ROAD TO OAKDALE ROAD.
Will have periodic road closures with detour signs posted.
Motorists are advised to drive slowly and use alternate routes when possible. |

IMPACT: | Traffic will be impacted.
- Continuing with day-to-day traffic control for tree trimming.
• Continued traffic control for striping at the following locations:
- AROUND SAVAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL - MERLE AVENUE & MAID MARIANE LANE
- MARY ANN SANDERS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - FINE AVENUE & KODIAK DRIVE
- FREEDOM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - FINE AVENUE & SHARON AVENUE
- USTACH MIDDLE SCHOOL - KODIAK DRIVE & BEAR CUB LANE
Lanes will be reduced to one lane of traffic each direction.
Motorists are advised to drive slowly and use alternate routes when possible. |
