The City of Modesto is working to mitigate flood risk in your community. Join us for a public meeting to learn more about your flood risk, and how you can better protect your home.
Flooding can happen without warning. Everyone, regardless of what flood zone their property is in, should take steps to protect themselves from disaster. Understanding flood risk may seem complicated, but it does not have to be. This meeting is a great time for you to connect and engage with community officials and subject matter experts to learn more about your flood risk.
WHAT CAN I LEARN AT THE MEETING?
Our goal is to help residents understand the risks of living on or owning property in/near a flood zone. We also want you to understand what steps they can take to protect their homes and families. At this meeting, you can:
- Learn about how flooding could affect your neighborhood.
- Learn about Flood Insurance Rate Maps and what areas have the highest risk.
- Learn how the city of Modesto is working to mitigate flood risk, and how you can get involved.
Local community contacts and other experts are available to answer questions and provide information.
The City of Modesto is offering four public meetings in different neighborhoods:
