[ARCHIVED] Groundbreaking Ceremony for Stanislaus Youth Soccer League Complex July 15

Stanislaus Youth Soccer League (SYSL) in partnership with Tuolumne River Regional Park and its member agencies the City of Modesto, Stanislaus County, the City of Ceres will break ground at a ceremony for a 14-acre soccer complex serving the youth of the area. The Groundbreaking will be held at Bellenita Park, at the Intersection of John and Hancock Streets in Modesto at 1:30 pm.
SYSL serves over 1000 school age children across Stanislaus County with healthy and wholesome activities that involve the entire families. SYSL has been in existence for 18 years starting with a few teams at elementary schools in the area to over 100 teams countywide, outgrowing the inventory of available soccer fields for game day activities. The league was founded by Tony Martinez and Teresa Inocencio, two local elementary school teachers. This complex will allow the League to host all games at one location and allow room for League expansion.
SYSL will be funding the entire project both through donations from area businesses and families, as well as in-kind gifts. The neighbors will be building the soccer fields and providing ongoing maintenance.
Sponsorships are available for this project through Stanislaus Youth Soccer League (501 (c) 3) Contact Laura Catrina-Tosta for information at: Laura.catrina@chgstructural.com (209) 499-6864
