[ARCHIVED] Flood Insurance Rate Map Revisions

FEMA is working on updating their Flood Insurance Rate Map information for the Modesto area, and it could affect your insurance rates.

The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is in the process of validating a draft Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) database for the San Joaquin-Tuolumne-Dry Creek flood risk project. Draft flood hazard information for the City of Modesto along with a draft FIRM database is available for review using the FEMA map viewer.

The City of Modesto is soliciting feedback on these proposed changes and will forward your comments to FEMA. Please contact Chief Building Official Oscar Diaz at (209) 571-5885 with any comments prior to June 3, 2019. This data is considered draft/provisional, and is subject to change as the data has not yet been through final reviews or an appeal period.
